Senior Rep Samantha Sneak Peek

This weekend we had the opportunity to do some outside shots of our Plano Senior High girl rep, Samantha.  (We are still looking for a guy from that school, by the way.....)

Anyway...she is a VERY pretty girl and we are thrilled to have her as one of our senior reps this year!  We are going to be doing her studio session soon, but for now we'd like to share a few images of what we've got so far.  Enjoy!!!

Senior Rep Kelsey

This weekend we had our first senior rep of the class of 2011 in for her studio session.  It was a lot of fun and she was a pleasure to photograph.  Kelsey goes to Plano East Senior High and is the big sister of one of my daughter's best friends.  We decided to do only studio this time due to the frizz-inducing humidity we experienced all weekend.  We will do the outside shots soon.

I'm Baaaaaaccckkkkk!

I have been on a bit of a photography hiatus.  I went back to teaching full time a couple of years ago, and that kept me entirely too busy to focus on my photography.  I continued to shoot some, but not nearly as much as I wanted to.  After a year back to work, my family decided that it was too much for me to be working outside the home and I once again retired.  This past year my photography business was on the back burner still due to an illness that took way too long to diagnose.  Long story short, I was in severe pain every single day for almost a year and had daily fatigue as well.  Turns out I have a form of rheumatoid arthritis and I'm finally starting to feel a bit better.  We have had to try several treatment plans, but at least I am finally able to function again.  It is a chronic illness, but I am confident that when we find the right combination of meds, I will have more good days than bad.

Enough about me.....it's time to share my first real SNEAK PEEK in a long time!

Amanda is a dear friend of mine who is expecting her third child in less than a month.  She brought Q and H with her to the studio and we had a fun session.  I hadn't done a maternity session in quite some time, so I felt really rusty.  It was fun, though.  Her kids are precious and I can't wait to meet the new baby!!
